So when I bought my truck it didn't bother me to not have AC. Well that was when I was living in WA, I am moving to Little Rock AR soon and I'm worried the summers might be unbearable w/o air conditioning. Ive been debating what to do. I love my truck and do not want to sell it, for the sentimental values and I can't get what its worth with the mods and work I've done to it. Ive considered getting a newer vehicle but I can't afford the insurance on the cars I like and I think owning 2 trucks is pointless, not to mention I'm not sure what kind of parking situation I'll be in at my next base. IDK I am just lost at what to do...

its not as humid there as you think.... not as dry as Washington but it also rains less.

It's not extremely hard to swap in an a/c system, just gotta pull the parts off a junk truck, put them in, then get the system vac'd out and filled.

Wish I had AC...

problem solved:icon_thumby:

but being super serial, some patience and time and a swap shouldn't be too hard

put the windows down...ive never even used AC in any of my vehicles

It gets upwards of 110 here sometimes. AC is nice, But I'm ALWAYS riding with the windows down in whatever I have. I used to work in the 100+ degree weather all the time. Still do to a degree. Doesn't bother me, and it's always 90% humidity here.

I personally can't live without AC in a car. If I were shopping for a car and it didn't have AC, it's an automatic deal-breaker. I drive company trucks that don't have AC in the summer and it SUCKS.

If you find it unbearable, I would install AC in the truck.

God help you if you come down here in the summer then. I'm deep south compared to you lol.

lol yea im not deep south but its nothing new to have 90-95 degree days for a while with high high humidity....

my ranger has AC but to tell you the truth ive never even tried it...it will probably just get pulled this summer

So in theory the swap is pretty much transfer the AC components in and thats it? It seems to easy...

When I pulled the AC out of my truck (I hate it) it was pretty simple...putting it back is easy enough...if you're not qualified to charge the system you may want to get someone to do that for you...and test it for leaks...but the parts themselves are relatively easy to install...

Just put it all together, use new O rings and what newer parts you can.

I don't have AC in my truck and it's just fine in the summers. Open up your windows, especially the fronts and the slider if ya got it. Works just fine in the FL sun for me!
