Found! Wiring harness

I've been watching the pick n pull daily listings in my area ever since I saw your request and thought I had found a harness for you about a month ago. When I went to look at the truck I was disappointed to see that it was just a shell with no wiring or anything. I don't know why 88's are so hard to find... I've seen older and newer (early 90's) from time to time, just no 88's.

In regards to waiting for a part, it took me several months to locate a set of 95-97 ABS spindles for my project so I don't think its unusual to be looking for quite some time for specific parts.

There is a guy on ebay selling nos wiring harnesses for different rangers. I dont know if there is one for your year.

I never heard anything back from smudvapor so I hope that means he found the harness he needed. I have located one at a Upull near me but it's for a 4wd 2.9 5 speed. It's a manual 4wd system though so maybe the underhood wiring is the same.

I'm sorry, I didn't see your post and I didn't get a notification from the system. Yes, I am still looking for one. All of the vendors I tried to contact (multiple times), never got back to me.

Oh man! I just checked and I guess the truck was crushed. Doesnt show up on their inventory. I don't know if one from a 4 cylinder would work for you but there's an 88 single cab with 5spd at another one close to me now.

I don't know if you're interested in this or not but I'm doing a 4.0 swap in one of my 88s and would be happy to send the under hood harness your way. You can have it for free, couple catches though, I need the piece between the fenders that runs my power windows and locks... And the rest needs some repairs. Wires in certain places were clipped off by some genius before me, maybe fixable, I don't know. Truck ran fine, had issues with the headlights though. Was a 2.9, 5 speed, 4x4 truck.

I found an 88 at one of my local JY, I'll head up there tomorrow and take a look. Hopefully its not rotten..
