Was not sure where to post this, so move it if in wrong spot please...

Anyway, I have a 99 B4000. The wiper switch was bad so I picked up a new one and installed it. Its a variable inter switch with lots of adjustment, however, it only works on High and has 1 variable setting. All the other settings do nothing. The parts place i got it from said its the correct switch for the truck. My old one looked the same but didnt work,. so I am not sure..

Can I change the relay to one that does have multiple adjustment or what else can I do to get it work right?

Thanks

Dave

Are you sure it is the switch. were all the connectors good and clean pull the wiper motor connector apart and look for corrosion. The older fords have a govenor up under the dash by the fuse box. Get a schematic and start tracing wires I dont have one to look for you.

Multi-function switches can be a P.I.T.A. to install. As stated above check the connectors. It may be a short in the motor or the governor.

PM me your e-mail address, I'll send you the 2000 schematics.

on my 96 its easy to change out the multifunction switch just like 5 screws lol. Have you check for continuity on all the wires? Bad grounds? check the harness on the switch too.
