Winterization plans...?

Use marine battery clamps for good connections and resistance to corrosion.

To be honest leave your headlights stock. Just but in a glare reducing bulb like a Sylvania Silverstar or GE Nighthawk. The yellow bulbs only help to cut through fog, they won't have the punch to do the highway light. The Nighthawks & Silverstars are slightly blue but much more powerful than stock. The blue light reduces glare like the yellow but still carries. And these are not douchebag blue lights they are 100% street legal autoparts store bulbs.
That is exactly what I winter front does. When it sits and idles to warm up it won't along as much air through the rad. But as you move the lower air dam takes over and feeds your engine.

Definetly lube the door seals. And while you're at it get one of those tiny cans of lock de-icer with lubricant and toss it in your jacket just in case. Then get a bigger one and do your locks right now. Even though they aren't frozen the lubricant will help prevent it from happening. Toss it in the cab to help out people at work:D

Yeah I have some Silverstar ultras in it right now, but my friend had yellow coated ones and then upgraded to sliverstars and thought they yellow ones did better at giving depth to the snow. That and if I don't like em I can always through my silverstars back in, And I have or will have 8 Aux lights on my truck pretty soon.

Cool, I can probably do the same thing with some cardboard or black tarp like material though. I'll give that a try. A toasty car is much nicer to hop into.

I plan on getting some powedered graphite and using it to lube the lock. never had a problem with my locks icing before.

If your gonna upgrade the charging system it couldn`t hurt to get some larger guage cables (lower resistance), and add a relay to control any added accessories so your not running the power through the stock wiring for anything drawing alot of amps.

Well I already have everything added hooked up through relays on their own circuits and switches so I'm good there and everything has heavier gauge wire on it. Basically did everything minus putting in the bigger alternator. :icon_thumby:

Those I bought for my jeep you can get different sizes for the connection to the power dist box and any accessories like a winch, lights or high power preamp. In sub zero temps low resistance wires are a must especially for cranking amps.

in darkness, the whiter and brighter the light, the more reflection you'll get back into your eyes in a fog, snow storm, or heavy rain. making sure they are properly adjusted will help some. just my $ .02... and over 46 years driving experience.

Yea tossing a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator is the norm up here, been doing it for 30+ years.

Yeah thats why I'm thinking about getting yellowed lights because they are darker and don't reflect as badly, or atleast in my experience. Plus when I snowboard I have a preference to yellow and amber goggle lenses vs the tinted or blue ones. :dunno:

I have a set of amber blizzard lights I need to mount on mine too, white-outs suck when its soo bad you gotta stop in the road.
