windsheild wiper help....

okay so i have a 94 ranger.... my windsheild wipers only work on high but when you turn the swith it kinda clicks... i have already replaced the switch on the console and that didnt work.... anybody know what it might be?

i'd think the low speed part of the motor is burnt. I had a truck that did that after it snowed and i had the wipers set on low. Started the truck up and didn't know the wipers were on. Went to use them later that day and only the high speed worked.

so replacing the motor shoild fix it correct?

That should take care of it. Have seen this problem before. I work in auto parts and the few & far between sales of units for Fords (cause they are built right) 2 had this issue and it fixed the problem. The bonus is the motor is a hellva lot better priced than the switch!

okay so i finally got around to fixing this after my timing belt broke.... but now i cant get the linkage to pop off the motor... i took the clip off and the outside linkage poped off but i cant get the other one to pop off... anyone got any ideas?
