My 04 ford ranger has factory wheels with 225/70/15 tires. I just bought mag wheels with 235/75/15 tires. The new wheels are 8" wide and the factory ones are 7". Will the new wheels rub? The new wheels said something about a possible Lift kit or Levering kit. What does everyone think?

The tire fitment is not an issue, but the wheel fitment may be. depending on what they came off of, the offset of the wheel face may cause a tire to rub on the fender or frame. also the wheel center bore may be the wrong size. the overall size of the tire should be fine. worst case scenario, take the new wheels and tires to a shop and pay them to swap the new tires onto your old rims.

measure the back spacing. if it's within 1/2" of the old wheels they should be ok.

my 2005 is similar to yours, I've had 245/70-16 with 8 inch wheels fit on it. for daily driving they were too big, removed 'em.

FYI, those factory steel wheels are only 6" wide, if my feeble 'ol brain remembers them correctly.

There is a THING regarding wheels referred to as "back spacing", drives everyone crazy like federal taxes. It's a thing, but not really....

When confused simply run 2" spacers and cruze the mall parking lots.
