Have'nt got it yet, was just wondering. $1600.00 for it on CL. Would still have to get more parts to put it in. That big Moroso pan would have to go right?

I didn't realize it wasn't yours. I know its been done but don't know what's involved. Hopefully someone else can help. Check out the tech section at the top of the page.

Still not a bad price for a fresh 302. Guy says it's built for the long haul. All new internals, 30 over, molly rings, flat top pistons, 3 angle valve job, molly push rods, oversized connecting rods and bolts, 292 cam. Edlebrock performer intake and 600 cfm holly. High volume oil pump. How much would something like that cost to have built compared to picking it up for 1600.00 ? Then I found another one for 1500.00, 2 years old but comes with a auto tranny too.

I picked up 5.0 HO from a '87 mustang, and had it honed, tanked, new rings and bearings, valve job on my GT-40p heads for about $850. That included some broken bolt removal and assembly except for the cam. The motor cost me $100, heads $80, and the gaskets were about $40. So it looks like either one of those would be a pretty good deal if all is as they claim. BTW Garvin's machine shop on Stage Coach Road is very helpful and does good work.
