Will a big bellhousing c4 fit?

I belive it should be 28oz,Baddad could tell you stright up.
He is the go to numbers guy.

alright im just gonna go get it even tho it has the small bellhousing....so instead of using my stock flywheel now ill just have to get a 157 tooth flexplate with a 50 oz imbalance correct?

Correct, if you're bolting it up to a 94 302/5.0 like you posted. Both B&M and TCI make this piece. I just bought the TCI 157 tooth/50 oz flex from Summit for $85.

If it is a mild engine, go with a 2800-3000 stall . I ran one my 331 and it was a great stall for street, but could've been bigger for the strip. but, I drive it alot more on the street than racing. Now I'm using it on my 351w/turbo combo. Good Luck

ok thans guys i found a hays 157 tooth 50oz for 80$ on jegs, i picked up the transmission last night and im very happy with the condition its in. One final question though, people have told me that i need a "block plate"...it looks like a piece of sheetmetal that goes between the trans and motor and has the bellhousing and starter shape cut out in it? Do i need one or just simplly slide the tran right on to the pins and bolt it up to it?

The plate helps with starter to flywheel clearance.
The first trans I put in the 85 I didn't use the plate and starter whined, second time I used the plate and no whine.

You need the plate, it indexes the starter to the flexplate starter teeth. You might get by without it, but if you have starter problems, then you'll have to pull the transmission to install it afterwards. Better to do it right the first time.

alright cool, yea ive been tryin to find the correct one there seem to be alot of diff ones, anybody have a pic of their 302 bolted to the tranny with a view of the starter?...or a link to purchase one of these plates

Yes, put it on before the flexplate.

Mustangs Unlimited sells em too. Engine block plate. You want the one that has a cutout portion on bottom to access the torque converter nuts. M/U also sells the cover plate that goes on to cover the access hole.

thanks for the info once again, so it goes directly against the block and then you bolt the flexplate on and then slide the trans up to it correct?....TurboSplash looking at your info i bet that ranger is nasty, what kind of rear end work do you have done to be able to hold that?
