Wow, that cake is impressive.

I don't care...... i now want a meat cake for my birthday

Thats a pretty creative lady you have there Jim. Luckily I will never have to worry about my gf taking my drill for kitchen duties as her kitchen standup mixer has more power than my drill does! The sucker seriously weights like 25 lbs. Its SOLID!

Two years ago I bought my mom a Rubbermaid mixer for her kitchen. She loved the one my grandma has, so me being me I had to one up that one. $400 dollars later my mom had the middle of the pack mixer with all the fancy attachments. I have seen the in home mixers go for well over a thousand, I could buy a real nice drill press and cauldron for half the loot.

I don't have a mixer. I have a potato masher and a wire wisk. I have the stuff whipped up before I could even assemble an electrical appliance and find a place to plug it in. Mashing potatoes by hand is a very aggression-oriented activity.

I use my cordless drills with epoxy resin and usually hold them with vinyl gloves smeared with resin because I generally have three of them loaded with bits and counter bores and doing a couple dozen screws at a time while racing the glue kicking off. After the stuff hardens I have to bang all the buttons loose to get them to work again. They are much to yucky looking for my wife to contemplate using in the kitchen--or even touching at all.

Better hide the Sawzall...works great for cutting frozen hams and such.

Pfftt forget all this cordless nonsense, go with one of them 110 volt jobbies that plugs into the wall!! :D

Blend her cake in 1/4 the time! :icon_thumby:

Actually.......

After I took that picture she switched to a normal drill plugged in to the wall. It mixed a LOT faster. She was making Angel Food cake that required egg whites, water and another mix to be whipped real thick.
