Why do I drive old POS vehicles?

I like older vehicles because I think they look better.

My Ranger runs great, my Dodge runs great. I can't complain about either one. Yeah, you have to put money into them, but you're saving a lot more then what you'd be paying if something happened to a newer vehicle.

Insurance for me is $193 a month with full coverage on both trucks. My truck payment is $142 a month for the Dodge. Once it's paid off, I'll probably keep it till it spontaneously combusts. The Ranger I'll keep even after that happens.

It's all fixed now! Turned out it was just a heater hose that split open behind the alternator. I only realized that after I replaced the water pump. :pissedoff:

Oh well. Now it's got a new (not remanu'ed) water pump from Autozone with a lifetime warranty. Look's like I'll never have to buy a water pump for a 4.0L again!!!

And my buddy and I do projects together all the time. I helped him build his F-350 and he helped me build my turbo ranger. We share the same "old ford truck" mentallity, so he understood.

I own my own business, pulling up in a customers driveway in a POS just don't cut it. Nothing wrong with having a vehicle with a tons of miles on it.Just sometimes you have to have a newer vehicle with a dreaded car payment.
