Why are transmission pumps in the transmission?


thoes battery drive shafts can be a btch keep them lubed

not to mention impossible to get u-joints for

fords been doing that for years on powerstroke trucks.

because its cheaper and more reliable than a vacuum pump. International uses electric over hydraulic on the non-air brakes class 5 & 6 trucks.
 
My battery driveshaft needs balancing I'm getting a flutuation reading on my disgronificator. My radiator once lost it's bearings but the steering gear straightened him out. I once shot a bear in my pajamas - how he got in my pajamas I'll never know.
 
The turbine shaft drives the transmission fluid pump. Adding a belt would just be another part to break and if the pump stops so does your car.
