You'll lose. Not only that, the Civic will embarrass you and your truck. Sure you could sink a bunch of cash into it and make it faster, but the dude with the Civic could do the same and embarrass you all over again.

A truck is a truck, not a car. Want to embarass your friend? Buy a Skyline or a Supra and show him who's boss.

Funny this comes up. Following my buddy in an old Civic up a hill where it narrows down from four lanes to two and he beat a Corvette (running like crap I must admite) to the merge lane. Don't undermate the little cars.

Hopefully late enough this isn't a thread jacking but I got another who would win scenario for you guys. I got a buddy with a '94 Toyota Pickup 3L V6 Standard ExtCab. He thinks he can beat my '98 Ranger 4L V6 Standard ExtCab. Taking out skills for a second and looking at this on paper, would my truck wrecks his? Or is the ranger heavier and not as rev-happy?

The Toyota 3.0L isn't all that powerful, however the 3.4L Toyota engine is a different story.
