Who here is hoarding Ranger parts? Who do we think has the most??

I have two totes of parts. mostly extra stuff that I get on clearance from Rock Auto. I have a few actual FL=1a Motorcraft oil filters. I have a pair of valve covers that I will sand and paint one day so I can swap out the leaking ones I have now with new gaskets... it has been 15 years since I did the upper intake and valve cover gaskets.... need to look into doing it again. also have a pair of stock coil buckets. some brake parts/ lines, a spare alternator that I got from the pull a part, looked like the truck was put in the junkyard a week after he replaced the alternator... I grabbed it.

I would say Shran and Lil Blue ford for the biggest stockpile, but Lil Blue may be noted because of the other projects that he has as well. For those that remember AlanD, I think he had a pretty decent stockpile

I have a few, but nothing to brag about. Couple headlights. Instrument cluster, wiring harness and a bunch of smaller smaller plugs, couple of throttle bodies.
From what 'v3e seen in my brief time here, I'd go with lil_Blue_Ford

My top picks are going to be @PlumCrazy and @lil_Blue_Ford.

Ryan drives a Jeep.?

and I've only got a spare axle shafts (brand new from ECGS!) and a couple small boxes of chassis parts I don't really need, like a wiper motor and wipers for a windshield I don't have anymore

Man, everyone wants to throw me under the bus here… :thefinger::thefinger:;brownbag;

I have a bunch of projects and I have a collection of parts for most. My ”stockpile” isn’t all that big. Even my full collection is tiny compared to a family friend that after “thinning things out“ a few years ago still has over 50 vehicles parked in his field.

I have more tools than parts and no good place to keep them all currently. A lot of my stuff has ended up horribly disorganized over the years. That doesn’t help appearances. Then there’s also my parents (Explorer, three Rangers, F-150 and Murano). They would like to get a newer Explorer, fix the one Ranger, and get rid of everything else except the F-150. It all takes time and I’m the mechanic around here without a garage.

Every part is a Ranger part if you don’t care what it looks like when you’re done.

I have a 20 foot container with floor to ceiling shelving full of ranger parts, how many totes does that count for?

I've got 7 transmissions, 6 transfer cases, a pile of d35 shafts, hubs, and spindles, 3 sets of doors, 2 fenders, at least that many fender liners, 3 complete dashes, heater boxes, clusters, wiring harnesses, interior trim, 4.0 engine parts, frame brackets, crossmembers, radiators, fan shrouds, steering columns, drive shafts, a complete d35, 2 extra 8.8s, leaf springs, a complete set of hi rider ttb drop brackets, at least a half dozen grilles, and stored on top of the container are two complete first gen cabs. I've also got a half dozen totes of stuff squirreled other places, along with some new parts on my parts shelf in the garage. There's a ton more small parts but that's just off the top of my head at the moment.

Hopefully that's enough to keep @lil_Blue_Ford out from under the bus, haha

I think you might have me beat by a bit on parts collection

I have no money and no bank account and no spare parts at all.

In fact I need to save up money just to do anything. I'm sure my truck needs brakes right now along with shocks and bunch of other stuff.

We forgive you because you’re new to this forum. But a couple thoughts.

Brakes are really only a crutch. And shocks and suspension stuff is for comfort. These trucks are built to charge through the woods. Hell, even a four or 5 inch thick pine will stop them.

Why do you think we all call it the shed of miracles?

Are those Ranger parts or just things he makes be Ranger parts?

You haven’t seen what I’m planning to do with my old Fiat X19 parts, my Volkswagen parts, and my old Mercedes parts…

Every part is a Ranger part if you don’t care what it looks like when you’re done.

What’s your point?

And, For @Jim Oaks:

Again, why do you think they call it the shed of miracles?

I only have one “container” of parts (here): it’s 27‘w x 45‘d x 10’h, plus what’s stuck in the rafters, not including the full length carport down the far side. Of course there’s a bunch of stuff just sitting in the yard, and behind it, and it seems there’s always two or three things sitting on the kitchen counter (yes, I’m a bachelor), and that doesn’t include the extra 87 I have south of town.

I’ve thought of making a list, but I rarely make it past the base camp about 10 or 12 feet inside the garage door. I did pick up 24 bottles of oxygen last year, so if I can get a couple helpers, we could mount an expedition to go further in and further up, but I’m probably too old to try for the summit.

Having said that, you should probably divide this into categories. Except for a couple of 2.9 heads, I don’t have any engine, transmission, or other drive axles and parts. Most of my stuff is “eye candy.“ and I don’t know if the inventory of rust oleum actually counts as a parts…

Ive got a drivers door from a ‘97, the ranger trailer (‘97 rear frame, ‘94 bed & back bumper, ‘97 tailgate) A manual steering box. (4) 15” deer hoof rims with 255/70’s, (5) 14” deer hoof rims with 205/70’s . ‘97 2wd front spindles & calipers. new 2.3 (lima era) ignition parts, ‘94 heater core & a ‘88 tailgate. Think thats it.
but no ranger as a complete vehicle at the moment.
EDIT: I did have a vynil bi-fold shortbed tonneau but just gave it to someone at work.

Even though I no longer have it, I kept a couple of things from the 2008 Ranger that I use to have. I kept a taillight assembly, a front side marker housing and the Ranger badge from the driver's side fender as I needed to replace these at one time and so I decided to keep them as a reminder of it.
