who carries wrench

'93 3.0 distributor wrench. have changed timing chain and gear now need to make final adjustments, just need the wrench.

Don't you just need a regular wrench to loosen the hold down plate? Thats what mine is on my 84 2.8L. just a 10mm wrench or socket I believe...

unfortunately the dist. is on the rear of the engine can feel the bolt just not see it. from the feel of it do not have room to put a wrench on it. have tried a swivel socket and maybe stars are not lined up but cannot "make happen"

What about using crows feet with swivel and extensions?

get a 3/8 ratchet, 6-8" extension, wobble joint (not a swivel), 10mm 6pt. socket. you will want to slide it between the wires on the cap on the pass. side and this will hold the ratchet and extensions still so you can use your timing light and turn the dist. to the desired degree, then tighten the hold down bolt.
