Which truck should I choose?

Well I got neither of them. Instead I picked up a mint 04 extended cab, 4x4 , manual,that just turned 60k when I got it into the driveway. Now I need to find some running boards for it and paint the head lights on it.

Nice! Let's see some pics! Why do you want the running boards? The first thing I did when I got mine was take them off. The girl (5' even) wasn't too happy about it, but she manages. I was going to paint my headlight too, but I broke down and bought a black set. At least I have a backup set now....

I plowed so many bugs last night with it that it needs a bath before I can get pics. Here is the autotrader ad.

This is the one I actually wanted. I just didn't think my ride out there would want to drive a total of 800 miles to get it. I like that its an 04 so it has the new gauge cluster, and newer front end. I'd like to swap out the grill for an 06+ grille. I also love it cause it is a stripper model. Manual locks, Windows, and most importantly a rubber floor mat instead of carpet. I work construction and there is sand buried in the carpet of my work truck that I'll never get out. As for the reason I want running boards, this truck seems pretty tall and I don't want to tear up the seats cause I can't get into it with out sliding my rear across them real bad. Do you still have your running boards? You want to sell them? I thought about just buying those head lights as they are dirt cheap, but I don't want to spend to much money on it until I repay the money I borrowed from my parents to get it. I should have it payed back by then end of July, then the modding can begin.

Thanks! I hope the price is right. It seemed pretty good compared to a lot of them around here. There was one guy selling a 2005 extended cab, 4x4 auto, with 15k miles on it for 12,900. I almost went that route but that would of really pushed my budget.
Oh and I really want to thank everyone for your input. It helped lean me towards going towards a manual.

Its a pretty good price, I paid about the same for my 2003 which had 63k miles and has a small dent where the cab meets the bed on the drivers side (I figured it to be no big deal since it was small, but after getting a $1000 quote to fix it I figure I'll just leave it). It looks good. Does it have the rear opening "doors"? That's a feature I'd love to have.

No unfortunately its only a 2 door. I figured just about everyone would at least be a 3 door but oh well. You can't have everything and to the people that have everything.

Thats BS that they're not all 4 door. Nice job Ford! But even with my 4 door, I still have to move the seat forward to put almost anything back there. So the back doors aren't useless, but you're not missing much.
