You guys seem to miss the whole point of this, you have to pick which one is worse and why you think so.
I definitely wouldnt ask this question, because your gonna get alot of answers, As well as I think there were one or two people who dealt with something similiar to this for real.
However its a fair question, Neither is worse. When a child is killed their life is over, when a child is abused, their life is also over. They may learn to cope eventually, but they will always suffer that memory and carry fears. THey will never be the child they would have been. Either one deserves the death penalty. It would be nice to drag it out and cut nutz and all that shit, but lets face it, we want them of this earth. Death penalty.
