Uh, I'm a democrat. I'm also the type of person that don't care what your beliefs are. As long as you're not trying to shove it down my throat, we can sit and talk about it over a beer.

:icon_confused:

Maybe y'all can switch houses? :icon_rofl:

Don't get your knickers in a twist... it was just a joke to begin with.:icon_cheers:

ide love to relocate to tennessee someday when im married (next year). but the fiance said when we get married and get our own place, we are going to live around her. I just cant seem to convince her otherwise. Im sick of this state to haha.

just find something shes really interested in, and tell her they have twice as much of it or its half price where ever you want to move....

for example... if she is into jewelery, tell her diamonds are a dollar a pound.

Newfoundland!! beautiful place lots of scenery and friendly people, no muggers or robbers lol, vehicles only gotta be inspected when you first lisence them and then you dont need inspection anymore.
but if i had to move anywhere it would probably be michigan, lots of wheeling trails, no inspections whatsoever

Columbus Indiana.

Indiana is the only state that is solvent thanks to Mitch Daniels. Taxes are fine, real estate taxes for a primary residence are notably low. Every has a handgun. Even the Democrats here would be considered republics in New England. We get a few snow days per year, nothing big. Summer weather isn't bad. We've got hills, unlike the northern part of the state. And right now, people are hiring around here--Toyota and Cummins I believe. There's a Honda plant nearby and I saw AK Steels tubing plant had a hiring sign out front. There are lots of rich neighborhoods so if you are in the service industry you can find something to do.

thanks, not really looking for PA very much, more of the southern states where its warmer. i already almost live in PA, lol. it is better than NY though!

you'll regret that after your first summer down here. it's been in the 90's and 100's here for the last 3 or 4 weeks.

i've lived in north carolina and alabama. i was born and raised in NC (and live there now) and lived in alabama during and after college. both have good/bad things about them.

alabama has pretty cheap land/housing prices, sales tax is pretty low too. it gets HOT in the summer though, very humid. i dont think there is a state inspection there, but i'm not sure, i never registered a car there. it isnt very populated either, except the bigger cities.

north carolina is great though. i live in raleigh, so i'm 2-4 hours from the mountains and 2 hours from the beach, it's great. job market is pretty good too, it's one of the fastest growing cities in the country last i heard.

however, now that i'm employed i'm looking to move outside of raleigh to get some land and a house. just gotta convince the wife

Nevada. not Las Vegas, but up in the high desert. Ely, Elko, etc. low taxes, low property prices, no vehicle inspections at all. summers are warm and can be hot, but it's rather dry so very tolerable. winters are not as cold as where i live now, not even close really, but, again dry and very tolerable. lots of wheeling, hunting, fishing, camping, etc. bought 20 acres about 15 miles out of Elko for a little over $10k. hope to retire there in a couple of years.

have about 125 acres here in northern Minnesota i'll sell you for a good price. peace and quiet as it's at the end of a dead end road.
yeah, the winters can get real cold, but usually only a couple of weeks of the real cold days (-10 and below) but real dry. in the summer, less than a week total of temps over 90 and humidity above 70%.

Move to Tenn. IIRC the only state in the country where it's ok to drive with an opened container, as long as the driver blows 0. And it's one of the few states where it isn't illegal to jump off of a bridge (like into a lake or river).

I would say

1. TN
2. SC

Im in Nashville/Murfreesboro, We have vehcial inspection which is 10 bucks and taxes are 7-9%ish, been/getting raised. Aint to bad, easily get to the country outside of a metro area. Really nice between Nashville and Chattanooga or east TN.

SC, grew up in basically, the upstate is awesome and small town style or live at the beach is awesome too.

Yes Tennesse is awesome. I live in the south eastern part an hour below Knoxville and wouldn't have it any other way. And yes the passenger can have an open container.

ha! its been like that here too! in NY!!! im not afraid of heat, but i am damn sick of $400 a month towards heating my house (still under 60 degrees!)

come live the cajun life down here in LOUISIANA

mmm, no thank you. only because i hear its mostly swamps and stuff.
