Where should I look for a bed topper/camper shell

I'm at that point now with my truck I really have grown out of the rollbar/lightbar on the back and really just value having a camper shell that I can put on, so that way I can just throw my stuff in the bed and have something that keeps things out of the elements.

Right now I have to stuff everything in the rear of the cab and it's super annoying. Ideally I want a camper shell type because I want more room to actually get inside the bed and place all my stuff as needed.

I thought it would be pretty easy to find one, as my truck is old as hell now and I figured there would be lots of them used on marketplace but, when I see one they are usually asking about a $1000 for an ARE shell which is kinda what I'm looking for.

Does anyone have a good source of where I might be able to find one for my ranger? Preferably locking, color doesn't really matter because Ill take it in and get it painted.

I don't know where in Texas you are, but have you looked in a bigger town? On Marketplace around Denver there are a lot of them in the $100-$500 range, and in Chattanooga, TN (probably 600k people in that metro area) there are a couple of free ones and lot of them in the $50-$300 range. Or, if you have the room, find a whole nother truck that you can pull one off of. My Ranger was $500 and came with one.

If you get one that doesn't have the keys or that has a T handle but doesn't lock, a new handle is about $20 online. I had to do that for mine.
