Hi everyone, I just joined up because I recently acquired a 2002 Ford Ranger XLT. It had been running fine, still is except for a good bit of water on the passenger side floor and from research I've already done it appears to be the AC drain line is clogged, the heater core or somehow rain water is getting in. I figured like everything, it's a process of elimination, starting with easiest and cheapest and with a little help, maybe I can find the AC drain line on this vehicle, it's a 3.0. Thank you in advance and I also own a 90 Honda Civic and 95 Honda Passport if anyone needs any help.

Look around the bottom of the fire wall, where it curves down to the floor pan.

The evap core is a good source of water as well, especially if it's humid out.

Pull the blower motor and clean out the debris.
Unblocking the drain from underneath the truck is futile if you don't clean out all the crap that clogged the drain.

Once you have all the debris out, use a garden hose to flush out of the corners.

You should be able to see the drain at the bottom of the plenum using a mirror if you don't want to crawl underneath.

just pulled the blower motor on my 88. can see a pile of leaves on the cab side of the firewall, and a screen between them and me. looks like the in-cab a/c has to come off to clean them out.
haven't found a drain yet. does the inner wheel well have to come off to get to it?

okay, found the drain by lying under the truck and reaching up between the firewall and the plastic inner wheel well.
that little drain will never pass the leaves that are behind it. after the brake swap and the vent window installation, i will be doing a/c work- one of the hoses has a big bubble in it- so i will disassemble the a/c and deal with it.
big question is how to prevent it from happening again
