where do i go from here

Do Canadians even have an army?

:icon_rofl:

You mean you haven't heard of the Dirty Dozen? That's not what the CAF is called, but it may give you an idea of how old our equipment is...

yes, Canadian Forces, and the Navy

Hmmmm...they all merged as far as I knew...when I tried to sign up 33 years ago they were separate...but that was the ancient history lesson for today...

5 speeds for a 351M are not as common as they are for a 351W/C. It takes the big block boltpattern, which means you are stuck with something out of a 460 F-250/350.

There are easier ways to get 160ish hp than putting a 351M in your RBV...

The seals and gaskets should somewhat be expected on a truck that old. Dunno how bad the rust really is but from the pictures I have seen of it it looks pretty straight.

Keep in mind if you put the axles into a different truck, you will still need to put seals in them, along with a lot of other stuff.

If you don't think you can afford to fix it, part it out to cover your expenses and junk what is left.

If it is too good to be true... it probably is.

The 351m is a 400 small block basically I would think it would use the same tranny, but hten again facts is facts I guess.

Its not the 160ish HP that I was promoting, It the "so much greater than a 2.9l" torque numbers.

yea im not trying to put in every bit of hp i can get, i just think it would be awesome to have a big{mid} block in the ranger

+1 im a highschool drop out. i dropped out beacuse all i wanted to do was wrench. now that im going to collage i have to pay for it all. i can barely afford to fix the problems my DD is havein:sad: stay in school dude

Good greif please stay in school... I get PAID ($6000 a semester) to go to school... Look at what I HAVEN'T done to my truck because I'm doing schoolwork instead... I have the money, but never the time, plus, it's not allowed to do work in campus parking lots... Hard work pays off... I'd rather be wrenching than studying, but I never have time for my poor truck...

dang sad to see this, that bronco seemd to be a nice proyect
cant really give advice on school or working another truck, cuz yeah working around trucks and stuff is fun, but school is something that u will have for ever.

yea its very painful for me i almost cry thinking about it, i love that bronco but theres nothing else to do with her, so the axles and engine are gonna go in the ranger

im not going to say that it was the right thing, i regret it alot. if i wouldve busted my balls and done school shit would be a bit easyer.....but like ive come to learn. i am in fact a moron.

school is one but dont scrap it with those axles in er. i cant find those here for nuthin. i've seen were flunky's end up, and it aint pretty. however i know a guy who quit school, and is now a millionaire. however, he works his ASS off and is nearly 50 now. so it dont come nearly as quick as other things.
