where do i go from here

I think he looked at it and said "Sweet a full size Bronco". I can't say much because my first Ranger was a POS just like his Bronco. Before I bought this new Ranger of mine I crawled underneath it in a gravel driveway to inspect the frame and everything under there.

I won't wear a nice shirt to a car dealership, I end up on my back EVERY time. Heck I crawled under '05 trucks when I was looking at them.

I gotta agree with Will on this one though.

yo boggin im a high school drop out man and i agree with will and the others sorry dude but its a good idea to do good in school while its free for you..... when i was your age i was going the same..... working a job and wrenching and didnt care bout my grades.... now that im 19 and want to grad doing corrospondance school i gotta pay for it ...... not trying to gang up on you man your a good guy who's backed me from time to time

Fellas, Im firsthand proof that an education dont always put you on top of the "mad dollaz" list, However like I said above, better to have it an no tneed it than need it and not have it. Put the money from the sale in an account and save it for school.

Saving for school is the way to go,Collage or Tech.

Or you could sell all three trucks and get a relly nice Hooker for the weekend!

That ranger wants those parts. Just look at him, with that devious smile on his grill.

Isn't your ranger 2wd? I smell a 4x4 SAS conversion.. your 88 would look sick with fulwidth axles, some lift, 35's, and some sweet bushwacker flares. If the axles, engine, and tranny were good and I had a bronco like that.. I would have done it already. :D

+1 im a highschool drop out. i dropped out beacuse all i wanted to do was wrench. now that im going to collage i have to pay for it all. i can barely afford to fix the problems my DD is havein:sad: stay in school dude

there is an old saying...but I can't remember it...something about one man's junk is another man's headache...

Junk it...or tell the guy you bought it from that for $400 you won't publish a story in the newspaper about how you got ripped off for a rusted piece of junk...

Nah, you can probably get 300 for the motor if it runs...

i really want to, but the thing i dont like is that the 351 is auto and i wanna keep the ranger a 5 speed, and i think the tranny is on its way out anyways, so i think im gonna get an explorer or ranger and swap the 4.0 and 5speed trans/manual tcase and put the fullwidths under her

Whatever floats your boat. :D

I have plans to get a F series 4x4 5speed with a 302 and swap everything over to my Ranger, but it will probably never happen.

302? thats baby toys lol, but first before i sink any money into anything, im starting to save up around 4-5K for a DD wen i get 16, like a 98-03 f150 reg cab step side 4x4, but i think im gonna get the ranger going within the next week hopefully with brian (the guy who looked over the bronco)

any 5 spd from t-5 up is a dime a dozen for those ford v-8's If you drop in the 351 you can stay manual for relativley inexpensive.

Someone mentioned above dropping out and paying thier own way through college, I joined the military and chose the army collage fund plus the college bonus. 1800 amonth to go to school. and it goes up every year with the gi bill. Best way to go. One or two deployments youll have so much cash floating around you can buy 17-300 dollar broncos and build them all up and have change left for a pack of smokes. Give your future alot more thought than you do that truck.

However whatever you decide figure it out quick. So we can see some more build pics.

5 speeds for a 351M are not as common as they are for a 351W/C. It takes the big block boltpattern, which means you are stuck with something out of a 460 F-250/350.

There are easier ways to get 160ish hp than putting a 351M in your RBV...

The seals and gaskets should somewhat be expected on a truck that old. Dunno how bad the rust really is but from the pictures I have seen of it it looks pretty straight.

Keep in mind if you put the axles into a different truck, you will still need to put seals in them, along with a lot of other stuff.

If you don't think you can afford to fix it, part it out to cover your expenses and junk what is left.

If it is too good to be true... it probably is.

ill try to get pics of the bottom of her, i thought it was stuff it can be replaced, but i didnt notice that where the crossmembers mount on the chassis, is rusted off, so i cant even put new crossmemebrs on there, well im not gonna do it. and from the door back, a magnet wont stick anywhere on her, its all tin and bondo and rivets

so next thing to do with her is remove the engine, might do the core supports first to make it easier, then take the trans and tcase out and stack it up in the shed somewhere, then take out the axles and probably put in the ranger
