wheel base lengths

my friend and i are debating, we're not sure on the exact measurements, but is a single-cab short bed actually a shorter wheel-base than an extended cab short bed? what are the measurements?

Standard cab/short bed is shorter than the extended cab/short bed wheelbase.

1983 - 1997 Single Cab/Short Bed: 107.9"

1998 - UP Single Cab/Short Bed: 111.5"

1986 - 1997 Extended Cab/Short Bed: 125.4"

1998 - UP Extended Cab/Short Bed: 125.9"

Reg cab short bed is the shortest Ranger at 107".

The extended cab Ranger is the longest at 127".


Not sure how there could be a debate about that, they have the same bed, but the cab is 2 feet longer on the one.

All that info can easily be gotten off Google. For a '99', you have the 111.6" WB that the Reg Cabs w/Short bed have, the 117.5" that Reg Cabs w/Long box have and then the 127.8" (or 127.9" if a 4x4) WB that the Ext Cabs have, only have the short box. How's that?

haha debate resolved. thanks guys.
i gotta throw in some back story i guess.... we started the debate while sitting at Circle K smoking a cigarrete. it was a fairly simple argument, the bed looks shorter on the ext. cab in comparison to the reg. cab. and it was going on for literally weeks, every time we'd see one or the other we would get into the debate again, well debate over, reg cab short bed IS in fact shorter than the extended cab short bed.

i do have to say thanks for the wealth of knowledge! tremendously helpful.
