They were banned because they contribute so much to this site that it was starting to make us moderators look bad... and we just can't have that.

By the way, I finished the very first draft of the sequel last night about 2:00am. I'm liking it. The early draft I promised you isn't too far away. Still tons of rewriting work left to do but the story is complete. As the story develops, the characters develop as well. So I have to go all the way back to the beginning and replay it with their finished personalities. Plus there are 100 logical errors that rise up as the plot solidifies. But I'm really liking this one.

I need an artist. Anyone know one?

Yeah, at the risk of being banned myself--it's retarded to think a 2wd is anything like a 4wd offroad. I've broken a front axle and barely made it back to the trailer through stuff a stock 4x4 easily went through right in front of me. And I have a B2 which is 50/50 weight distribution and a rear locker with mud tires. My 2wd crewcab was a Detroit Locker and gets stuck in wet grass.

But I'll be kind and ignore those posts, just like I was doing right before I made this reply.

What kind of book are you working on?

I have not been banned in the 10 years I have been here. I only had 1 minor warning from Jim back in 08. That was from Boggin and his nonsense and he wouldn't let go. In the end Jim banned him and he sided with me.

First, you haven't been on here because of moderator abuse, or because we have been letting the kids run more wild than we should? This is the best staff we have ever had, by far. We have experienced pure EVIL in the staff before--as far as having the entire site high-jacked. Everyone in there now is young, on the average, but they are the kind of people you hope your kids will grow up to be. I mean that. I'm extremely happy with who we have on the staff right now. A bunch of knowledgeable and energetic mid-20s guys that know what they are doing. Hopefully that means TRS will be viable for decades.

In my sig is my website. You can see info on my first book I published. This one is a sequel, but totally different in every way. It's not really a sequel--it just uses a couple central characters.

There are rules posted somewhere, I'm sure. But that really isn't what lead to this, I don't think.

This is supposed to be a nice place. Think about a nice pub that you might frequent. Occasionally someone comes in, gets a little out of line, the bartender dillutes their drinks and eventually they pass on into the night. No problem. But if that same person keeps coming in, night after night, getting wasted, starts to effect the nice atmospere of the pub--you eventually have to take steps. It may not have been anything specific--just a buildup of things. It takes a certain person to acheive that noteriety so if you haven't, you aren't that certain person.

Honestly, I don't think a ban was absolutely necessary, but it takes a lot of time to give everyone a pleasant PM and explain that you really wish they would knock it the phuck off. I do that quite a bit, but we need to maintain the proper atmosphere in here even when we don't have time for all the personal greetings. You know that if you get too nasty for too long, you are a disruption. This is a great website because 99.9% of the people on here keep that in mind. The forum members police themselves. I would not be here after all of these years if that weren't the case. I find this a pleasant place to hang out, just like the pub.

Will - I totally agree. I don't have to spend my time on here, but I like the comardrie (sp?) I just want to contribute when I can. I just thought that RSH and Boggin were pretty amusing. If they stepped ove the line, That's what mods are for. I just never seen it coming. We all can't stay up with every thread running here.

On some sites if you ask a n00b question, you're beaten halfway to a pulp. On here, if you ask the same question, you're more than likely to get at least a dozen polite helpful responses.
