ok, so driver side, right under intake manifold is a tiny box (same color as the block) it hooks into the black, and has an open end pointing up toward the manifold, i bought the truck from a friend, who said it was spraying oil, the truck cracked 2 pistons, ok fine and dandy, i rebuilt it since, and iam about to drop it back in teh truck, but cannot find anything on this box thing on the side, i cant seem to remov eit either. what in gods naem si it?? its oval shaped, and the outlet tube (about 3/8" inside diameter) protrudes form teh top about 1". any info is appreciated.

its the oil separator for the pcv

whats this box on my 2.3l??

in between cyl. 2 and 3.
what does it hook up to?

it has a hose to the PCV valve then goes to the intake manifold under the carb or behind the throttle body on an injected engine
