whats the worst experience you ever had while in your ranger?

I was driving down the road and literally within a second there were a half dozen (really angry mind you) bald faced hornets in the cab, stinging me.

Almost hit an oncoming car and very nearly wrecked it that time.

LMAO

Oh those angry hornets, gotta love those lil buggers!

Thats right. Can't confuse them with the happy ones. Happens all the time. THe problem is that the outcome is still the same; you still get stung.
:D

condom failure......

When I took my Ranger on it's first road trip after it had been sitting for a few years.

I trailered it home, put new tires on it, changed all the fluids, got it inspected, insured etc. One Saturday around the 4th of July, we loaded it to the gills with stuff, my two boys hopped in the back and we headed to my in-laws lake house about 60 miles away. My wife and daughter went in her car. About 40 miles into the trip, it started overheating really bad and losing power. I had lurked on here enough that I knew 2.9 + hot = cracked heads and I was freaking out. I pulled over in the 105 degree heat with no shade in site, popped the hood and waited. It cooled down and I took off again. 5 miles down the road, it started doing it again. I pulled over into a parking lot and both front calipers were frozen (Sound familar BrutusT?). I finally got it cooled down enough where I could get the front wheels off and wrenched around on the brakes enough that I got them free and got to the lakehouse breaking with the parking brake. Anyway, to make a long story short, I ended up replacing the brake lines, calipers, pulling the encrusted radiator off etc while lying in the dirt and trying to avoid fire ants.

Good news - nothing's ever happened since.

That sucks.

I was on interstate 93 during one of the blizzards, traffic was horrible, cars are not for mass winters... anyways i was in traffic so long right after going to the gym and drinking my No Explode and after 2 hours of traffic boy did i had to piss.. i tried to make it to an exit only to have to pull over and piss in 2 bottles of water. halfway through my first one i was like ohh sh*t, as a cop pulled up behind me cause he thought i was stuck or my truck died. So im trying to piss as fast as possible and this guy walks up to windows knocks looks in and looks away smiling. so i put the bottle in my cup holder clamp my stuff with my hand roll down window and go "im sorry i tried to make it to an exit but i almost pissed myself" he just said next time go in the woods so i dont get any on my pants. well thanks for looking heh. i then continued to fill another bottle n a half as he drove away. I miss winter already, I love driving through snow, just not sliding sideways into snow piles because I was in 2wd spinning out in a turn.

I can somewhat handle the getting stung part I've been through that several times before, but there were a bunch of them and all at once! and in a confined area (single cab) I don't know if I drove through a swarm or what.

The one that really almost made me wreck was the one that flew in between my face and my glasses, Reacted so quickly my hand hit the steering wheel (was holding the wheel with my right hand, as my left one was being stung at that moment), I don't know how my glasses didn't go out the window. Had to miss the oncoming car by inches. :icon_surprised:

Never happened before or happened since. (Thank god)

the worst experience i ever had was when my tranny went out while on the high way..... the good old girl saved me...... just before the tranny went out i pulled out in front of a HUGE semi.... if it would have went out there i probably wouldn't be telling this right now.... but my girl held out just a little longer...

Worst experience was when I almost died in my 96 Explorer, which ended up being totaled after it was said and done. Truck saved my life. That's how I ended up with the 2000 Explorer, that I don't have anymore.

Getting chased off the powerline road by an irate hunter.

Dead of winter ( 15 below zero ), windows frozen up, and my buddy kept ripping off HORRIBLY RANCID beer and white castle farts.
Now imagine said farts with the heater on full blast.

As someone that works in the trucking industry, please don't cut off semis. Even if you're doing it and not braking immediately, the trucker doesn't know that.

I seriously doubt he meant he pulled out directly in front of a semi with the sole purpose if cutting him off.

In my 94 4.0 5 speed ex cab I was leaving school, got in the truck went to start it and it wouldn't start I was pissed, It wasn't the battery, I knew that. So I had to get out and push the thing and jump in and pop the clutch, good thing it fired first try haha. I'm not exactly the smallest kid, and I was that kid that talked about my truck all of the time even if it wasn't great lol.

Then later on I was gonna bring this girl home from work, she was pretty good looking anyway I went to start the truck again and it wouldn't start, the battery was so dead. We sat there for an hour trying to jump it, before she called another guy for a ride, it sucked.

And the worst of all, I was driving down a back road going to pick up a friend for school and my other friend was in the back seat right behind me. We were going about 30mph and I hit the brake to slow down a little, and the pedal went right to the ****ing floor. So I down shifted and BAM the driver side front slammed into the pavement and I was pulled to the side of the road. We got out of the truck and there was a big rock 6inches from a big rock. The wheel bearing decided to explode and the whole wheel came off, the hub, rotor, and caliper were all still on the rim and the lug nuts were still tight. Scariest shit that's happened to me.
