What's the general rule on oxygen sensor location?

I just got started on my true dual setup on my 92' supercab 5.0 and am not sure on where to put the bungs.

Do they need to be a certain distance away from the header? Do they need to be equal distance away from the header?
(EX. Driver side-6 in, Pass. side-6in)

I just want to make sure before I start drilling holes.

Thanks!!!

everything that if seen and heard says 6 in away on both sides

Boy I sure wanted to jump in and help but I've got four cat's, four sensors (2000). Did go out and measure from where the exhaust header connects to the exhaust pipes and it's 12", sure not sure in your case. How's everything else going? Ice off the lakes yet?

Oh, yeah. Fishing is in full swing and the loons are as noisy as ever!:D

I got it figured out(I think). They're equal distance away from the headers and in a accessible location.

With a 3in body lift, running true duals is rather easier than I thought(Hope the driveshaft clears, not alotta room left!!:icon_twisted:)
