What's the biggest...

Haaaahaaaaa....lol. I know I say that lot...'cause so many of the post are brought up over and over again. And the post are about something all of us have already talked about and it drives me crazy that only a few people are using the search function. I use it several times a week if I want to ask a question about something before I post a question. Hell....Jim might as well take the search feature off the site as well as the tech section since most people are not willing to use it. These features are such valuable tools to this great website, right?

I made the suggestion that it should flash, similar to the "Need Urgent Help Fast" section. I don't think some people realize it's there.

People claim to fit 33's under sploders with very slight mods,,may be able to do the same on a ranger.

I have never had a tire under my Ranger to know if it is a limiting factor but Explorers have wider frames than Rangers.

The leaf springs are the same distance apart but sit under the frame on an Explorer frame but outside a Ranger frame.

I just got my 31" tire to fit under there but I had to cut one thing off. I can post up pics if you want

Spare you can fit in the spare tire carrier under the bed?

Here's a good idea. Measure the area in the spare tire carrier and then find a chart with the different tire sizes and DIAMETERS. Pretty easy actually if you know how to use a tape measure.
If more people would actually try and figure simple things out on their own, the redundant posts would shrink by 75%.

And yea obviously but some of us are just looking for a quick, yea it will or won't. What's the harm in asking? Anyways if this forum had that many less posts, it would get real boring real fast. Hate if you want but I always learned the only bad question is the one not asked. Besides it's always good to have a thread for dumb questions since someone else will inevitably ask again sometime. also it's a legit quotation, not like "what gear came stock in this model year?" Or "how can I get moar HP out of my 4 banger?" So chill out bro, if you know the answer help out, if not stop hating because you might be better at math :p

What a waste of a post.... You KNOW we want pics. :D

Thank you lol. I was thinking if carrying it in the bed but I don't want to give up more room especially with a toolbox already in there and chaining it doesn't feel like enough. I'd rather store it out if sight, and then bolt that sucker down lol. Maybe weld on a latch for a b-f-lock. Anything to make it harder for a would be thief.

I've had 2 "spares" in the bed of my truck for a few months. If someone needs them more then me... take them.

Here are your pics!

Trying to fit the 31. If you look back you can see two blocks that keep the stock tire from moving around and what not. The 31 is just a little too big. When I put the tire up there one side fit in the blocks but the other didn't.

Here is the block that needs to be cut. Cutting this won't make the tire go crazy under there. You still have one support block and if the cable is tight enough you won't have problems.

Goodbye!

Now the 31 is wider than your stock tire so it will stick down farther but it's worth it if you need your bed.
