What's luckiest break a cop has given you?

Cops Never give me a break. I flip them off everytime I see them with someone pulled over. Makes me mad that they have to generate income for their little townships. I have a driving record that looks like a career felons rap sheet. 9 out of 10 of the things on my rap sheet, don't even involve speed. And I am a good citizen, just to bad that I have spent many a day working for the state of Colorado.....:thefinger:

How about speeding up to run a yellow turned red light, just in time to see a Nevada Highway Patrol stopped at the opposing light. Slamming on your brakes and sliding with smoking tires into the now red intersection. Add no wallet or driver license and no seatbelt.

Let me go without even calling in my plate. Told me to be more careful in the future. What a good guy.

couple months ago, i was in my truck, on 35 inch swampers that were pretty bald (horrible on the road).. it was late at night and raining.. i was going down a hill and was going to make a left at the light/intersection... so the light turned yellow and i went for it, did a little aussie shake, throttled down and sent with the truck sideways... it was probably one of my best drifts of all time, sideways through the intersection and through 2 lanes of traffic missing the curb by inches. IT WAS MONEY!!! however there was a local cop sitting right there and got front row seats to the little stunt! so he whipped it around after me, i see this and knew i was a block away from the county line, so i took a quick right and headed for the next county!! he followed me over the line and for another mile or so, i thought he was gona pull me over but instead just turned around... just my lucky day i guess.

Back in high school when I smoked the reefer I had way too many close calls. The worst was when the cop told me "I've thrown out more bags of weed than I've arrested people for". I was lucky, very lucky considering the people I had in my nearly new car I had owned for maybe a month. I feel stupid when I think back to these situations, but I also feel lucky.

lets just say in south dakota doing 95 in a 65 in a probe gts will get you a ticket and it costs $205 :( hahahahahahahaha awww the good ol days when i was 15 (last year)

+1 if they dont pull me over, the only break I have ever got was for taillights on my scout, She had one and even told me where to look it was water dripping on the fuse block under the dash. If I see blue lights they always get money. I went to pay a fine once and after waiting at the window for 15 minutes one of the three gals sitting there talking needle point says to the other two we have a customer waiting. So she took my $175 dollars and didn`t even say thanks for being a valued customer.

When I was about 19 or so, I was stopped for speeding...only doing about 15 over...but the cop (who I think was a distant relative) found an excuse to go to something more urgent and told me to be careful...

Another time I did something really stupid...pulled a right turn from the left turn lane (the light was red and not about to change...there was an unmarked car in the lane beside me and he followed me into the parking lot and chewed me out for about ten minutes...then got in his car and drove away...

I think most cops are looking for a way to give you a break...but not all...

last june, my mom and dad threw a party for my sisters wedding, the whole family was there and the grooms. me and my now wife had just moved back from auburn after i FINALLY graduated. so at this point in time i was still fairly good at drinking and could throw back a few. i probably had 7 or 8 beers over the course of 2 or 3 hours and when it was time to go home, for some reason i was driving. my wife hadnt had anything to drink and neither of us thought that maybe she should drive. now i was drunk, but i was probably buzzed and you could definitely smell it on me. so on the way home i accidentally ran a stop sign in some obscure neighborhood (the only reason i can figure that the cop was there was to teach me a lesson lol) there's no way he didnt smell the alcohol on my breath, he asked me a bunch of questions and i answered them fine, no slurring or anything, so maybe that's why he didnt think i needed a breathalyzer. he just gave me a stop sign violation and i said THANK YOU SIR and went on my merry way, VERY glad i wasnt going to jail.....needless to say, wife drives after i've had more than 2 beers now.

A few months ago when the university got out, me and a few friends played airsoft in one of the residents. That was extremely fun, we go to leave in my truck and safety and security blocked me in, they ripped into us for a good 30 minutes called the cops. They show up, take a look around, got pissed that they got called in for the whole situation, look at me and my friends and tell us we can go home. Except for the guy that stayed in the res. and said we could play airsoft there.

Safety and security were trying to decide if they should ban us from any part of the university and I reply "So you're gonna ban us from all of Wolfville?" With a bit of a laugh, because 99% of the town of Wolfville is that university. They didn't like that :thefinger:

Got pulled over once on the highway on the way to work. Cop came up to the car, took my license and insurance. Came back fairly quickly and said he was just giving me a warning because he was out of tickets in his ticket book. I laughed because I thought he said it in a nice joking way. He got mad, said it was not funny and he would arrest me if he saw me speeding again. While there are good cops out there, he was the type of jerk that makes people dislike cops.

many, many moons ago, living in Reno, Nv. and working in Sacramento, Ca. on my way home for the weekend and going up I-80, Donner Summit. my ride: 1965 Jeep Wagoneer, buick 350 and 3 on the tree. the guy who decided to race me: new (1985) toyota 4 runner.
steep grade for those of you who aren't familiar. we were on the downhill side heading for Reno. i'm doing an easy 85-90 indicated (speedo was off because of oversize tires) and he was screaming trying to catch me. :D
just getting into the north Reno hills area and we spot the sheriff... too late. we both pull over. after first talking with the guy from Ca., he comes up to me and asks what i'm doing . i explain that i'm just in a hurry to get home after a long week working in Sac. he replies, "well, i'm going to have to site you for 'failure to conserve fuel'. i'll get you on your way here in a minute. it's going to take me longer with that California boy back there." me, "yes sir, no problem" with a big smile on my face and his!! :icon_rofl:

mailed in my $15 check with the ticket the next day. best $15 i ever spent!
:yahoo:

About 5 years ago, me and a buddy were riding in my '92 Thunderbird 5.0 to go do some work on his dad's truck. There was a '70 Torino for sale in this yard right next to a road I was about to turn onto, so I decided to stop and have a look at it. After I got done, I looked around everywhere to make sure no cops or other vehicles around, and then I made a 270* donut on the highway and looped around onto the road. So we get to my buddy's house, and get out of the car and all of a sudden this cop drives up in his driveway. He gets out of the car, and he is seriously pissed. He says "Who was driving this car?!!!!!" Neither of us say anything, and he says "Ok you're both going to jail!!" I finally said, it was me and sorry I won't do it again. "He just says "BULLSHIT!!" Threatens at least 2 more times to drag my ass to jail, but luckily my insurance and tags had lapsed so I only got tickets for those. Paid my insurance and got the tags renewed, and the CCC dropped the tickets.

Apparently he was working an accident near where I did the donut, and saw me. I have no idea how I didn't see him though.

My buddy that was with me was a county dispatcher, and he and the cop knew each other, and that he was a real douchebag to everybody, even other cops and now dispatchers lol.

is it bad that im going to school to be a cop and have a lot of these?

13 yo riding a moped with no license or registration. lifted weights with the cop, he told me to park it till i got my license

15 yo. state dick pulls me over for riding a 125cc honda elite. he said he knew i didnt have my motorcycle license, which i didnt, and wrote me a warning for it and my mom a ticket for no insurance, later dismissed.
2 weeks later same cop sees me riding it, tickets me.

16 yo. had my license for 2 days. screwing around behind the school, peeled out in front of the cop, questions us, says dont do it again.

couple tickets later, state pulls me over for doing 80 in a 65 after an ice storm. i was late for my crim law class. sees i wasnt wearing a seat belt and wrote me for that instead of the speeding.

2 months later another trooper stops me for no seatbelt. whole stop took 5 minutes. it was the last day of the month.:icon_twisted:

june 2009: late for work, doing 80 down a 55mph hill. county cop turns on me, we chat, knocked it down to 65, still made it to work on time.

one month to the day after that ticket i got pulled over by the trooper that gave me a warning for 80 in a 65. pulled me over for 67 in a 55, wrote me a warning for speed, no proof of insurance, expired tabs, ticketed for no front license plate.

2 months ago, MN state trooper pulls me over for not having my off road lights covered. let me off with a written warning because i am in MN West Law Enforcement and i was wearing my LE jacket.

thats just being a dumbass.

65 in a 50 back in July, nailed me with instant on radar in a good hiding spot. I'm totally honest about my speed, verbal warning.
