What years are compatible?

Thinking its time to swap in a lower mileage motor into my 2000 4.0 auto.

What years just bolt right up without ANY modification?
Am I stuck with 2000 only motors?

I just did a 1998 and as far as I know you need a 1998-2000 for a direct drop in I put a 1996 in mine and there is a little bit of work involved but its not to bad at all.
