what year to get

You also may want to consider a body lift to make fitting all that stuff in there a bit easier. As BlackII said, there is a lot of info on here, take some time to read, and you'll find most of your questions will probably be answered.

i figured a body lift of some sort would be needed. We do plan on streching the wheelbase out to just shy of 100"s. place the motor as low as possible with out sacrificing clearance.

The second gens do have a much better interior though...

That's debatable... maybe if you like sissy comforts and acres of plastic that match the wussy Gen II styling. :thefinger:

I have found a 90 for $500 obo. states that it currently isnt running. no big deal and is probably an easy fix

Sissy comforts? Like working gauges and dash lights, non-retarded a/c heater controls, and real speakers? I'll take those every day :thefinger:

Gen 1 seats suck, door panels suck, dash cracks like a son of a-

Gen1=:lame:
Gen2=:headbang:

well i spoke to the owner and apparently the motor is toast in the bII. I offered him $200 and he said he would take that. its white with a blue strip on the exterior and all blue interior. 2.9 with an auto tranny and auto hubs.

Gen 1 gauges are analog, and actually react.
