What year 3.0l will fit?

My 1998 4x4 ext cab 3.0l is getting tired...what year and model 3.0 from ford will fit....and will I have a pats issue?

any tarus, windstar, or ranger 3.0 can fit.... you just have to swap parts to get them there.... and no.... the motor has nothing to do with pats.... that is part on the security module... i would look for a ranger motor though as it has a better cam for a truck...
