What would you do?

I have a 2003 Ranger 4x4 that I recently bought a PA body lift for, and have plans to get some prerunner fenders and bumper. But a friend and I are about to buy a 1991 ranger 4x4 also for $750 (tranny's bad). It already has a 3in body lift and 1.5in leveling kit up front, with 33x12.5 mickey thompson baja mtx's on 15x10 rockcrawlers. My 2003 ranger is pretty much spotless, besides a little mud from wheelin. My question is, what should i sink money into? My 2003 or the 1991. After we buy this truck, I plan on swapping wheels and tires, and I doubt my 2003 will be doing anymore wheelin.

What would you do?

The 03 is YOURS, so keep that. Never know what kind of disputes may come along in the future with the truck having two owners. Id sink the money into your own truck and with the 91 you take that the cheap route to an road beast.

The 91 ranger is relatively cheap to build up and play with. I'd primarily stick money into the 03, but throw a little at the 91 to use as a play toy.

It's far nicer to beat on an wheel an older one than a new one that looks nice. Having two trucks gives an advantage that I've enjoyed for awhile. You can take the older one out, wheel it hard, and if it breaks, drag it home and still make it to work the next day with your nice truck.
