My first vehicle I drove on the road legally was my Dads 73 Dodge 3/4 ton pickup. 318, 4sp,armstrong steering, bald tires and almost no exhaust and a box full of 8tracks that took up the whole side of the passenger seat.
The first car I owned was a 82 Toyota Tercel, was only a year or two old at the time.Wrote it off when I made a left turn into a oncoming car.

im only 17 so itll be a short list

I don't think I've posted this yet. My very first car was an '86 Mustang 4cyl, 4spd with 23,230 miles on the clock. I paid 1800.00 to the lady across the street from where my mother grew up. Ever heard a salesman say "It belonged to a little old lady that only went to church and the grocery store"? That was this car. The only prob was oxidized blue paint due to she had no garage.

I drove the hell out of it, until i wrecked it. At 50k miles I made a U-turn and hit a trailer being towed by a couple of drunks with no lights. (It was night time and very dark) I thought the truck had cleared my and I took off and caught the fender well of his trailer. I got a ticket for wreckless driving.

My first car was a 1995 mercury tracer. About 2 months after i got my license i spun on some ice and got side swiped. so after a quick trip to the junk yard and a little bit of hammer work to bend the b pillar back to almost stock it had a lovely two tone green paint job and had drivers and rear doors that didn't quite line up the door frame so it whistled pretty loud at any speed over 35. Then one night at a party some kids though it would be fun to flip it since a kid pulled a gun on them when they tried to do the same to his car, so they flipped mine. next morning we flipped it back over and drove it home. my sisters drove that after i got my ranger and just last summer it got backed into by a fully loaded dumptruck, still runs like a champ you can't kill that car.

My first vehicle was a '92 ranger 3.0L 2wd. Got it when I was 17 and it only had 73,000 original miles on it. Spent 2 months scrubbin rust off the chassis and repainting it. I ran the living crap out of it until I flipped it one night when the crappy Wal-Mart tires that were on it lost traction then gained it back the moment I was at a 90 degree angle with the road. Best part was it was still running in the ditch while it was laying on it's side.

1967 fairlane. Started building it when I was 14. the car had some decent size rust holes over the rear wheels, so every time i did a burn out the inside of the car would fill with smoke. at the time it had a pretty built up 289, t5, and 4:22 gears. it was wicked fast but absolutely no handling or braking. Still have the body sitting in my back yard but the good parts were pirated for my myustang. perhaps I'll build a rat rod out of it soon.

Pretty good stories from everyone.

My first car was a dark brown 86 Chevy Caprice. My grandfather bought it new and around 91 or so turned in his license because his vision was too bad to drive. He'd occasionally have my aunt drive him in it to get groceries but other than that it just sat in the garage. He died in 95 and my grandmother never drove it, she eventually gave it to my brother and he never drove it because he was away at college. So when I got my license the car got passed on to me. Smallblock 305 with 113k original miles, not a single dent and a mint condition interior. Stupid me sold it for $300 to a kid who never changed the oil and blew the motor, then junked it. :bawling:

My first was a 1974 Chevy Nova I got as a hand-me-down. It was one of the 4 doors though, and it had the 250 with the 1 barrel carb. Took it to a mechanic after I destroyed the timing gears, he replaced the timing gears and put in a different carb. The carb he put in was junk and I couldn't find another carb that worked right with that car. I eventually got fed up with it and got rid of it after I got my next vehicle. Probably would have tried to keep it if it was a 2 door with a 350.

My next vehicle was a 1992 S-10 with just a hair over 200k miles. I bought it from a family friend for $100 and it ran like a dream. I put about 20k miles on it in a little over a year. I really liked that truck but I left California and told my Dad to give it to one of my sisters when they are old enough to drive.

After I got up here I was desperate for a car since it was freezing cold outside and everything was covered in snow or ice. At 18 I hardly had any credit so I bought a 2003 Pontiac Vibe GT.

Eventually I got tired of the Vibe so I traded it in for my 2003 Ranger. Good truck so far, its just a shame it can't match that old S-10's fuel economy.:icon_thumby:

1980 Malibu 2 door. Grey primer throughout. Keystone classic wheels. Jetzon tires (several since they were cheap to burn). Single glass pack exhaust.. all tied to a 6.6 4bbl out of a T/A. Bought it for 500 bucks saved from working at a Ponderosa Steak House when I was 17

the first truck i was supposed to have was a 1979 F-150 Ranger Explorer. i still have the emblems in my garage. I sold it before i had my license.

my first truck i drove legally with my license is my 95 F-150. still have it.

the first vehicle i that was mine was a 64 Dodge 330, 4 door, slant 6 with the push button auto. there are pics on the site somewhere. i didnt have to pay anything for it as long as i did all the work to get it running and paid for parts.

the first car i bought with my own money was a 84 Mustang 4cyl. 4sp. only ran on 2 cylinders and had no exhaust. bought it for 75 dollars and sold it for 100.

1988 BII XLT, 2.9L 5spd. Spent all winter doing body work under a tarp tent, got my license, hit some ice and flipped it 1 month later. Dented it all up but didnt break a window! Used a comealong, flipped it upright, and drove it out of the woods. About 2 years later it went to the graveyard due to rusting out.

Liked it so much i bought another one 3 years ago, and still have it as a trail rig.......soon to sell though :( Got a ranger and cant have 2 trucks.

94 jetta for me. Loved that solid little hunk of crap, I drove the hell out of and never gave me any problems. It was given to me by my brother and eventually wanted to sell it so that's when I got my ranger.:icon_hornsup:

1989 F150, 4x4, 300 straight 6, 4 speed, I sold it to by a 1988 ranger, 4x4, 2.9L, 5 speed
