i really need some help i have no idea on what tire i should get for off roading i know i want a mud terrain any one have any suggestions please help

What do you have on the truck? Lift? Leveling Kit?
6" Lift: 35" Tires
3" Lift: 33" Tires
It all depends on what budget and what you have in mind.

Price wise paying high for good brands BFG/PRO COMP strongest/most durable

also depends on what size you want and if your truck can fit them.

power obviously isn't the issue if you are putting it on a 4.0
another suggestion although you have made it clear you want mud terrains, you can get A/T's that are just as aggressive looking and it will save you from always stopping at the pump.

Well, mud terrains are cool but you have to know the specs. of your ride before purchasing any. Of course you want them to suit your car right?

ok thanks for the help a buddy gave me a set of swampers for free he had them on his ranger but he put a lift on a bigger tires. the ones i got are 265/75 16. they are the trxus mt ones

Those should work. I believe 31" tires were the biggest you can fit under a stock 4x4 1998+ Ranger. You may need to crank the torision bars a little if you don't have enough front clearence.
