what to do?

The ECTED isn't a full locker, they do slip when locked up. Auto lockers locking is directly proportional to your right foot, they don't lock up just willy nilly and send you into a slide. Get what you want, there's pros and cons to every locker, I prefer automatic.

so far an automatic locker sounds good what brand do you recomend. i dont want a cheap piece of crap that will brake, i dont mind saving up for something thats gonna hold up.

I've got a little lunchbox PowerTrax in the back I have never had problems with. I run
36" TSL's and 4.56 gears. I thrash it hard. That said, I'm dropping a Detroit in the new
9" going in. I have heard quite a few reports of the luchbox lockers failing and That is a headache I don't need. From everything I have read the stock 8.8" carrier is a weak spot. A Detroit or ARB would fix that. I have an ARB in front and love it. It is really nice to be able to lock/unlock. It makes your turning radius smaller, does less damage to the trail and you can still use 4x4 in the snow and ice without any seriously wierd handeling characteristics.

Make a careful plan on what you want to do with your truck. Gears and lockers are expensive and cost a lot to install. You definitely don't want to have to do it twice. Are 35's as big as you want to go? If you are ever going bigger, might consider 5.13's. 4.88 sounds great for 35's and a DD though.
