What to do with VSS during axle swap

stmitch:

You are absolutely correct about the method of calculation.

I worked in an engineering design company and we had a prototype shop with mill, lathe, brake, welder, etc. I can't cut splines, but the VSS tone ring and sensor mount were easily done. Unfortunately, they closed us down.

I can't take any additional pictures until Thanksgiving - truck is parked at in-laws about 800 km away.

I would think a modern machine shop could burn one pretty quick with a CNC laser.

I can be patient! It's a long term project anyway. I've got to build a shop next spring to do the project anyway.

We really need to see about getting this bumped up higher on the priority list here. :icon_twisted:

I wish! It's going to be pretty involved and take up a fair bit of space that I don't have right now, so I have to make more space first. It gives me time to keep troubleshooting things though, so that hopefully when I get around to tackling it things will go more smoothly.

Probably looking at a custom driveshaft, fuel cell, and redoing the exhaust at a minimum. Still not sure if I want to try and use Mustang coil springs, or just do coilovers. It's also going to push my rear tires out about 2.5 inches per side, so I'll have to figure out a way to tastefully cover those too. My wheel arches have seen better days, so rolling/bulging these bedsides is kind of pointless. There's a lot to plan still and even more to save for because it's not going to be cheap.

If it was easy everyone would do it :icon_thumby:
