What sort of gear do you always carry in your truck?

I'm curious where everyone stands with confidence or paranoia in your trucks. I personally keep quite a lot. I have used it all to either get myself home or much more often friends/family home.

Up front I have:

notebook, ear plugs, microfiber, EZ pass, Convoy s2+ with spare batteries, extinguisher

In the trunk I have:

black bag; screw driver, pliers, vise grips, adjustable wrench, box cutter, duct tape, zip ties, spark plug, tire guage, obd2 scanner, hose clamps, mechanics wire, straps, test light, jb weld, jumper cables, inflator, tire patch kit, multimeter, tire caps, fuses, lighter, poncho, space blanket, hand warmers. That along with the socket set, tow straps, tarp, and jack all live in a milk crate. In the trunk cubby I have; bug spray, tire iron, flares.

I have a first aid kit just wedged under the donut holder for now:

tylenol (all used up), motrin, bandaids, gauze, tape, antiseptic, tweezers, wet wipes, clotting pen, gloves.

I have used nearly everything in this kit at least once. I often find myself wanting to reduce the size of my junk because these are only the static, non-personal items that stay in my truck. I have two straps mainly because I don't trust the first one. It has gotten a lot of use and has a lot of dirt inside the fiber. I guess I could just bring that along as a primary when I intend to get stuck and leave the good one in the crate. I need to decide if I want just a test light or the multimeter in my kit. I should not have both but I cannot decide. It might be useful to have some benadryl in the aid kit, but I'm very cramped for space in that dollar store sandwich case. As I finish writing this post I seem to be missing my bottle of sun screen.

General recovery tools, general wrenching tools, some small spare parts, length of heater hose, gasket sealer, extra fluids (oil, coolant, gear oil, ATF).

A few extra pounds.

Electric tire pump, tire pressure gauge, tubeless tire repair kit and can of Fix-A-Flat and jack. Also gallon bottle of coolant, gallon bottle of h2o, quart of oil and a set of jumper cables. All in a black milk crate zip tied to the passenger side by the tailgate, under a bed cover. Sometimes five gallons of go juice, firmly tied to the driver's side by the tailgate.

Same in my Lightning and Mustang as well.

I've used the tire fixings for other peoples vehicles much more than my own.

Forgot, all three have an 18 inch breaker bar with the appropriate socket for use as a tire iron.

duct tape and a few tampons (you may laugh but smack one or a few on a bad cut and wrap w/ tape) plus they r sterile!

A spare, floor jack, breaker bar with 2” extension & socket. 4-way lug wrench, small box w/tools, jumper cables, tow strap, jump box, extra qt of oil & trans fluid (more so for the power steering than the trans) small bottle of hand cleaner, clean rags & some gloves. Also have some ratchet straps. A couple of hitch drawbars and a set of magnetic base trailer lights. All in a plastic bed box.

Small tool kit, couple of screwdrivers, work gloves, zip ties, several tie-downs and bungees, jumper cables, can of ether, tow strap, tow hook, hitch ball. I drilled a 1" hole in each side of a plastic storage tote and hold it in place with a tie-down attached to the front bed hooks.

The one bad thing is you can carry every tool to repair whatever fails, but most likely you’ll need parts you dont have with you. But I do it too and sometimes I need to visit the “truck box” to take care of a issue with something else.

I always have some simple things: a bottle of drinking water, a blanket, a flashlight, and matches.

I also have a sharp knife, a minimal set of tools (hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.), a first aid kit, a fire extinguisher, wires to start the engine, a tow rope, a bottle of windshield wiper.

If it's winter then I also take a shovel and a windshield scraper.
