Just wondering how many MPGs you guys are running in your ranger after a 2.3 turbo swap?

VEry light on the throttle fuel pressure down about 26-29.... balls to the wall 4 thats without a tune tho other people can tell you better

worst I've gotten is 9, best 17, average 14-15

but mine has a serious startup issue, rich as hell to the point of having to floor it to clear the flood on hot restarts and runs rich after that, to the point that it idles at 12" of vacuum (should be 20-22), I imagine my coolant temp sensor is toast causing that issue as when it warms up it runs great!

that being said, my alignment is bad, I'm running on 31" tires with 4.10 gears and I have a heavy foot... that 9mpg was last winter when I ran a full tank only commuting 3 miles each way so the thing never warmed up and with it's startup issue, it just sucked down the gas... I might try it on regular again instead of the plus I've been running it on since it's been running better...

If I'm just cruising the interstate and keeping out of boost, 25+ mpg.

I've done a couple tanks of alot of stop and go with 15+ psi boost, and those 35 lb/hr injectors squirt it out pretty fast. Like about 14-16 mpg.

best ever, 24 mpg.

worst? dunno, don't care to find out. 96 lb/hr injectors and 28 psi can drink a tank really fast.

current normal is about 15 mpg.

just a note I got 19mpg with my truck in the same setup N/A

Generally a 2.3T gets better mileage than its N/A version (out of boost) because of better VE/Cylinder filling. This is very common on 2.3T setups.

Problem is you have to keep your foot out of it.

I normally compute my fuel economy in liters / kilometer, but when I do the conversion, mine works out to roughly 20 mpg. I live on top of a hill, though. Also, blowers are not as efficient as turbos, so more of the energy in my fuel is wasted as heat.
