What kind of truck? I want 4wd, 4doors, auto...

I do really like the F150 Super Crews...we had no problems in my dad's when we went hunting last couple weeks. We were up in the mountains going up steep dirt/sand/rock/pebble you name it hills. 4wd worked perfectly, and its a very comfy ride.

I think what pushed me more towards the frontier was the positives and lack of negatives I have found on them. I've owned 1 nissan and 1 ford now, and from my personal experience with that, I've liked the quality nissan puts into their vehicles, at least in the maxima. I was just unlucky with the Ford Ranger I got, I happened to get the one prone to problems with the 4wd system and vacuum hubs/electric t-case, and a random misfire on 1 cyl.

So I went to my bank and talked to them, I guess they inspect the vehicles and what not so thats good, and they showed me what it was originally paid for ~$29,000, what was owed on it, ~$25,150. and what they wanted for it, $20,800. It was nice when I went to check it out, they let me inspect anything and everything, peeked underneath, checked under the hood, sat in every seat playing with the windows and making sure every cosmetic interior issues were not there. They even had a big gravel pit behind their building and let me check out the 4wd. worked very nice. This thing was flawless, there was maybe a few very tiny small, not noticeable unless close inspection, paint chips from the front part of the hood,, which i see on almost every car anyways and its bound to happen on that part of the hood from rocks flying up. 40,200 miles on it and the thing is in new condition. The exhaust is nice and throaty and the engine seems to have some nice pull.

So I decided to go for it, I also picked up the extra 4 year 48,000 miles warranty for anything that may go wrong. I drive like 6-8k miles a year, so this thing should last me forever if I take care of it, which I will. This is my first major purchase besides my house, little nervous about the extra payment, I have always bought my vehicles flat out, no payment. Oh well, in life you're always making money and spending money, sometimes not even making money.

I still got my ranger, not quite sure what to do with it yet. Thinking maybe sell it for $2-3k random misfire on 1 cyl and everyonce in a while the 4wd system freaks out, which is a known issue with the 98-00 rangers

Why are you saying stop looking at nissans? I've read nothing but good things about them and did research on how many problems people have complained about them,.... I really like the Ford F150's, but they appear to have more problems with them, reported by conusmer guides and all over the internet, compared to the nissan frontiers...

One particular report had a rank of 33/100 for engine problems, 20/100 for transmission problems, 7/100 for electrical problems, then a couple for other minor issues...all this for the Ford F150's...

The Frontiers on this same source of report had, 1/100 for an electrical problem...thats it...

My dad has an F150 and some of the interior parts are ****ing CHEAP...the door handles are plastic and break easy. I really really like the truck tho, but I like the frontier better and from what I've been reading through research is they are pretty reliable trucks.

So Update: I found a white 2008 frontier 4x4 like the one i linked previously. This one only has 40k miles and it was repo'd from my bank I go through for my mortgage...They want $20,500 for this one, it looks in mint, going up there to test drive it.

Well the few I drove say differently, maybe if they are treated well they will hold up, but up here even the new ones I broke a handle off one when I was pulling it into the shop, the interior is cheesy and plane and cheap plastic, the newest ford f 150s are extremely well built. And they have more problems because there are more of them and they probably go through alot more work and stuff, a small nissan is something a person gets to drive around the cities and haul some bikes and stuff. I don't know I love nissan cars but I have never liked or ever felt the urge to look at nissan trucks or suv's especially since they come out with junk like the new Mito or whatever it is.
