If you put a couple of old appliances in your yard, build a porch on your trailer and have an old couch out there, you'll blend.:icon_rofl:

yeah some of the guys... are out there. don't let it turn you off from TRS tho man.. its a good sight.
have you got the NSS out? i talked to my dad about it, and he said your best bet was a deepwell socket that fit it, and a broke neck ratchet like this
thumb2.php

but i had a body lift on mine at the time, so idk if that will work for you or not...

Yall I am not trying to be a dick about everything, I ask a question it shouldnt get off topic on some random shit. all i needed to know is what kind of tool to use to remove my netrual safety switch.

yeah.. stuff happens. it doesn't always happen this way. but sometimes it does. this is an online forum. stuff like this is gonna happen. there is no other way around it.. when you have this many people in one place, and someone goes off topic it goes WAY OFF.. sometimes you just gotta look over it :icon_cheers:

There's really no special tool, if the switch looks like the ones I found doing an online search for pix of it. Looks like it has a regular hex-shape, like any nut or bolt usually does. I think your problem is going to be getting to it. It was a pain to replace the one on the '85 XJ, due to where it was located.

Plan on getting really greasy on one arm, unless the underside of your truck is spotless....getting up-close and personal with the trans area isn't pretty, as you may already know.

Might be a bit extreme, but maybe undoing the shift linkage and the driveshaft.....then the rear cross-member....and using a jack under the trans tail-housing, carefully lower that end until you get a bit of extra clearance to get to the switch?

Just a thought.

body lifts are great when it comes to stuff like this...
