I had to replace the radiator on my 94 Ranger and I twisted the lower line off. I have the flare nut and all that still. I couldn't find a transmission cooler line, so I gambled on those barb fittings (pictured below)...TWICE and both of them leaked right away. Since the lower line goes to a transmission cooler in front of the rad and condenser, keeping a soft line would be advantageous. I have 3/8 hard line and the old flare nut, so I figure I could make my own barb fitting, is it a 45* inverted flare like on brake lines?
