It is definitely a Falcon Ute. They come like this (Ute version), or in 4 door variety. One of my best friends growing up (and still is to this day) married a girl in New South Wales, Australia and moved there with her. We talk cars all the time. The Falcon is Ford's crowning jewel in Oz. The newer Falcon either has, or is getting EcoBoost. I dig it.

Not bad looking. You can definitely tell these two and the new Taurus are related.

UTE's where actually first used to get around gas rationing, people would take their cars and cut the backs off and put beds on them. since they had a bed they where technically a truck and since trucks where used by farmers/businesses they where allowed to get gas twice as often as a car. Then the car companies started making them, Hudson was one of the first to really make it work.
