what is "rep power"?

Jim - I've seen a couple forums where points display as well, but i'm not seeing where it pops up as a display option

edit - would it just be a custom profile field?

RobbieD, the forum is set at a default of 20 which meens you have to give rep to 20 other members before you can give rep points to the same user again. Not sure if I like that setting either.

Thanks, I have better understanding now from the posts in this thread. It just takes time to fine tune things; all of the changes have been very positive.

Maybe i'm just slow, but what your saying is that there is no way to tell How Many Reputation Points that you have been given by other members????

you get more of it as you have more posts, but people can also give you rep for posts they like, and you can also get negative rep

Go to your User CP. It will show you your reputation points.

Everyone has 10 to start with. You have 10. I checked. Rep points and rep power is different. You have 10 points that are yours. Your score. You have 1 rep point power that you can give someone. If you give someone a positive rep they will go from 10 to 11 points but their rep power that they can give to others is still only 1.
