What is modified on this truck?

I'm sure they still have the lift I was calling around a few weeks ago for a 3" spindle lift I was priced around $500 for parts I'm sure you can do this lift on your own. can you work a jack properly and use basic hand tool you will be fine. also keep in mind that Jim has his own part site that deals with fabtech so you might look over there and see what kind of price he can help you with. once you find what you want on the site copy the part numbers and PM jim, I heard that he helps give members a better price if he can.

Id say T-bar crank and 265-70 on 16" rims

this ranger doesnt have T-bars

Is that lift discontinued? I like it so i searched the Fabtech site. They only list a 2wd lift for sport/edge models.

FABTECH doesnt have the lift listed under a 2008 Ranger its listed I believe as 2005.

I have 3" FABTECH Spindle with 33" Terra Grappler A/T's
if you buy BFG's although they are really good tires, that name allows them to raise the price. I would also stick to A/T's not M/T's less for the motor to push. I think you should do exactly what I did to my truck to yours

3" FABTECH spindles in the front (w/ stock ford shocks, because I'am broke:bawling:) and then add-a-leaf for the rear.

how much did the add a leaf lift the rear? isnt it a damn dog with the auto? or did you regear? im regearing to 4.56's and if the motor is revving high as hell im going to upsize my tires to 31-32". well see after the regear. lets see a decent sized pic of your truck (different angles)

What's a ' 3" torsion key lift" ? Would this be a good alternative for the Fabtech lift? I have the former available in town for $200.

it wont work for your truck. you have a coil spring susp. not torsion. if you're on a budget a 3" body lift can be had for around $200.

I'm a bit ignorant to the performance difference between a body lift and a suspension lift. Can someone enlighten me?

The rear leaf was $65 or cheaper. Only time I really have a problem with it is when driving on the freeway around my area where its has alot of slopes it isnt thrilled when its windy (not very aerodynamic with front in the air) but other than that it drives really well and gets decent gas mileage. Let me know how your results go on the re-gearing, I'am running stock.:headbang:

The difference is a terrible ride, personally I dont know how bad it would look on a ranger but when I see body lifts on bigger trucks I thinks it looks like POO. I wanted a suspension lift also, because I like to take my truck to play in the dirt. Goodluck

greatwhite,

looks good. the tires are a little big for my taste. im thinking 31x10.50 or 11.50 equivalent. how much is the rear lifted 1.5" or so?

Thanks man I love Great White too,
I wish I could tell you but I have no clue how much higher the leaf made it, those tires are tiny theres guys on here that have 6" lift and 35's. Nothing against 31's, if my dad wasn't a conservative queer and would've let me get a 4X4 I would've made the truck less of a street truck and more of an offroad truck (long travel w/ 31's).:icon_cheers:

That's an awesome looking truck. Truth be told, I would be in heaven right now if I had a supercab, but as has been said... no 2.3L Supercabs up here in Canada. I'm thinking it might be wiser for me to just buy a used 4x4 for off-roading rather than try and modify mine to be more off-road friendly... but I don't like the idea of having 2 trucks, nor insuring 2 vehicles.

Anyhoo, those rims are really nice looking.
