what gears do i have?

I have no clue what gears i have, looked on the tag on drivers door, by axle the number under that says 85, it is a 90 ranger with the d35 ttb up front and the 8.8 in the back, if you need more info just let me know, i will find out, should be stock gears, it was a old lady who owned the truck b4 me - you never know though,

According to the tech library 85 isn't a code used in rangers.

Maybe 95 or R5? Both are 3.55, R5 is L/S.

'90 seems to be an odd year before Ford figured out their codes.

85 = 95 (3.55)

i swear that is says 85 on the door tag, i will double check though, i know its not a l/s because i get that wonderful one wheel wonder effect doing burnouts, as for that metal tag, where abouts would that be located? If it is 3.55 gears what would be the max tire size I could put on there

the tag is held on by the diff cover bolts.

the door tags says 85, checked on the axle, pretty rusty, was able to make out 3.55 though
