what do you guys know about...

benz diesel for an inline?

225 would be different though.

i was looking at an old buick straight 8 earlier today...errr yesterday.

crazy looking critter.

I saw one that had overhead valves. That could actually be made to have decent power. I like lots of cylinders.

How about >>THIS<<

I had one in a '72 Duster, couldn't kill it. Drove past a cop one day doing 115 mph, he never even came after me.. I've heard you can improve the performance to about that of a 289, if you know what your doing.

Do it. Back in the day, people called them indestructable - however, if you did a long, hard left turn. The float bowl would run out of gas and they would die.

with the durability that the 225 has, i'll be happy with 150-200hp. as for the carb/intake, i think im gona go custom there with dual down draft carbs or even EFI, dunno yet, if gas goes up to 6$ a gallon, i might even use CNG or methane... i wonder if anyone else thought of a \6 before?

Had one in a 70 something 3/4 ton van with 3 on the tree. Thought they had a small block and a big block but I could be mistaken. Only problem was they were more motor than the car could handle. ie. Brakes.
