..... they had to leave the engine running. there is no way that would have went with out the engine being on ........ unless by some freak the driver put the truck in neutral before he climbed out............

it only takes an hour for the air to bleed completely out of the tanks, if you drop below 25 psi the parking brake automatically sets.

I am amazed it took off like that... I mena unless it was a super steep hill... which it didn't look too steep that thing got going FAST! even for a semi.

Indeed. The engine was NOT running. Listen at the very end, after it slides down the hill and hits the other truck. You can hear the air escaping from the truck's system through a broken line. It was left in neutral, with the parking brake off. Once uprighted, any grade will start it rolling again until something stops it.

I wouldn't expect it to be running at the end anyway, most accidents trigger fuel shutoff switches.
