Took inspiration from @Curious Hound and put new seats in the yacht



Wildlife seamed to have taken a liking to the originals:



Now that that is done I can get that stashed inside out of the weather.

Finally mowed the lawn. The mower battery I charged yesterday didn't hold a charge overnight. Had to get a new one.

The best mower battery I ever bought was a Miata battery. Same size as a typical lawn tractor battery, just with regular top posts. I put a set of brass “Marine” rated terminals on that had a wing nut and bolt for attaching wires so I had a place to land the mower wires. Just the price of car batteries anymore makes me hesitate on buying one for my other lawn tractor. FYI, that Miata battery is currently like 10 years old, lol.

I think it was around $70 from the battery store. And another $10 for a pair of 2450 coin cells because my welding helmet left me blind the other day. 2 little coin cells cost 1/7 the price of the mower battery!

I would like to figure something out for my topper as well. Hauling it with the F-150 works but when we are camping it is a second (and forth) trip ferrying the canoe around.

I also run mine backwards, much more stable given the weight differential between me and the captain.
