What did YOU do today?

reassembling the kennel I bought yesterday, it was originally up against a barn & didn’t have a door end panel. So since I kept the old back door from the house I replaced last year. Just build a 2x4 frame, set up the door opening, cover with hardware cloth & its good to go. Will add tarps in october sometime. That top panel was the worst to deal with 6’x 12’ & its 7’ in the air. tractor really was useful today.

There is a bug in the new software. Might be a while before they send out an updated version.

In the meantime.... for image files, try using the image icon in the toolbar at the top of the editing box. Supposedly, that uses a different file to process the images and retains the orientation tag in the EXIF data of your image file.

Oh, while working on the 2011, I noticed the tube foung into the A/C compress coated in oil. I'm going have to clean it up and see if the tube itself is leaking or if it is the pressure sensor that tees off of it. I suppose I should find a shop that does A/C work since I don't have any of the proper equiment to service an A/C system.
So… I have the tools… lol

Yes, but you also have your own stuff to worry about. So, I didn't want to ask. You offering is a different story. ;)

Started off the day going to my friends house and getting my 4 wheeler and explorer then got home and started working on the Ford 2000 tractor. The injection pump on that was gummed up pretty good and annoyingly some "mechanic" cross threaded one of the outlet banjo bolts and the fuel inlet bolt thing. Conveniently I'm handy and was able to work around both of those and make it less bad than it was... Right now I stopped for dinner and am letting the battery charger do it's thing for a bit, about to go try it again... I'd just leave the charger on it but it's supposed to rain in a couple hours...

Swung through the local state park staking out potential tent camp sites for the Halloween thing in a couple weeks and to see if there are any neat old campers. Found a possible site, no cool campers though.

Swung around the marina side of the lake, there was a red chevy truck pulled into its spot with the rear towards the road. Low and behold there is an old guy backed up to his open door (like his back to the door hinges taking a leak. He has a conniption fit getting things shut down and jumping into his truck once he notices us. I must have sneaked up on him in the '150. We went around the loop at the end of the lane (its a dead end) and came back and he was having a fit inside his truck I think embarrassed.

So yeah, they can say what they want but loud pipes can save more than lives!

Hopefully finish the starter chicken kennel/coop today so I can get back to the tractor project. 8’ lumber in a escape….really need to get a ranger again.

Got back to the drag strip yesterday.. incredibly nice day for it for the most part.. got cloudy after the first couple rounds though. Put together a video just for shiggles..

A lot of cool stuff! Personal highlight for me just because it's the most Rat Fink attitude-d thing I've ever seen in real life..

Model A frame, cab, bed.. one hell of a chop.. quick change rear end.. 350/350 combo.. dude who owned it was super happy to talk about it.

Quality of the video seems to have been slaughtered somewhere.. aggravating. It was filmed, edited, and uploaded as/in 1080 🙄

I'd really like to get a real camcorder of some sorts for the actual racing.. or figure out some sort of 2nd camera setup. One just off the line and then one further down the big end like 1320.. try and promote the track as much as I can.

One of our southern circle tracks closed a few years ago and is now getting turned into a SpedEx warehouse.. always worried about the future of our one drag strip...

ordered some bath towels on Amazon, without telling the wiffie.
now I should commit some kind of typical husband act and pretend they're an apology.

kennel coop for the little chickens done, now to put everything away.
At least I can return to the tractor project now. Want to have it finished by mid october. wish me luck! lol

I've still been trying to get the Ford tractor running with no success, and it seems the battery on my 400EX quad is dead too, worked for my friend when he borrowed it a few weeks ago... lame... On the plus side I decided to cut up a tree out back to check out my new to me chainsaw and get it tuned up and filled the back of the '97 Ranger... was going to use the '90 Ranger but it's battery was too low to start too... I've had a day... Oh and I went to push a fruit crate to the house with the tractor and started mowing some and got the tractor "detained" not too bad though as the wife was in the '00 Explorer and didn't even get into 4x4 to get me out... was almost moving but didn't want to dig any deeper...

This is 12 mil heat shrink poly
I have the poly up on the roof. I unrolled half then tied rope at the end and half way, then rolled it back up. The other tenant put it up for me. Hopefully I can use the rope to spread it out by myself. I have doc appointment tomorrow so will do it Thursday and Friday.

yesterday: pulled the cluster and traced out the circuit board because the cluster lights wouldn;t come on.

the 5a fuse in the box for the dash lights was good so i had already pulled and tested all the bulbs, which were good.

the circuit board was fine too.

i ended up checking power through each fuse in the engine bay box, all good, and then starting the jeep and checking power at each fuse in the cabin box with the multimeter. turns out i had no power on one side of the marker light 10s fuse and no power at the dash light fuse. i pulled the marker fuse fuse and it looked good but replaced it with another 10a fuse and suddenly i know how power at the dash light fuse and the lights now worked on the cluster.

who would have thought the cluster fuse got power from the marker light fuse? they aren't even in the same row in the fuse box

I did some final fit and finish on the DMR radio in the truck and brushed primer on the other side of the deck half for the 2019's drawer system.

I also discovered that the lower rubber seal on the rear window slider was working loose on the 2011. So, I cleaned that up and glued it back in place with some RTV.

I bet there’s a diagram for that somewhere.
