did not want to mess with the old one anymore, and sinking 1000 bucks into a mower that might not finish the season...

but to your point, I left that new one at the end of my driveway all day, so the neighbors got to see it. Then I mowed with it.

I had plenty to do and won't finish it all. Started off with cleaning and lubing the chain on the motorcycle. Then gave it an oil change and a new spark plug. Then, on to the Ranger. I have had leaks at the power steering hoses for several years and carried new hoses with me in case I needed them on a long trip. Finally installed the new hoses today. Also re-arranged the return hose and added a tiny little oil cooler for it. I still have to go get some 3/8" hose to finish the return line. Then refill the system. While the hoses were off, I turned the wheels in both directions to try to push as much old oil out as possible. That was some nasty looking stuff.

I was going to replace the bearings and tub seal in my washing machine today. But I think I may be running low on ambition at this point.

Oh, yeah. I finally remembered to drain the condensate from my air compressor tank and the drops around the shop. Here in humid South Carolina, that's an important thing to remember occasionally.

Mowed the yard, went to my propane supplier to prepay for the upcoming winter season while prices are lower, its a big ouch but a better rate during the off-season and any unused pre-payment can be rolled over to the next winter season, was 400 over from last year but it was a mild winter. Would rather have a overage then to come up short & need more at a higher market rate. Also got up to 5 dozen eggs so I put the egg trailer/fridge back out front, was in the process of dragging the long extension cord out to it when someone pulled in and bought eggs- all the eggs! so, put the cord back away & pulled the trailer back to the garage. Also sold the bush hog mower this week, it needed a lot & wasnt worth it to me to keep it so down the road it goes. Actually made some money on it. local tractor show this weekend, just going to be a spectator this year instead of a exhibitor. The newest chickens are getting more feathers, still a couple months out before they all can be together, hopefully the market for my eggs still exists when all the chickens are producing. Getting a daily average of 7-8 from 10 birds now, expecting a dozen daily once all 15 are going.

Not going to give any spoilers, but another great entry in the Deadoppl franchise. Was great seeing some familiar faces reprising their old roles. A lot had been leaked in (or figured out from) the trailers, but there was atleast one was unconfirmed and another that I knew nothing about. Was pleasantly surprised to see them and am interested in what it says for the future of the MCU. Given the multiverse it seems to bring several old characters and roles back into cannon of the MCU.

I did some little things in the garage while waiting on the sun to not be beating me in to submission while doing the yard work. I also finally got around to taking the leaking water heater, brake rotors from the trucks, and an old, larger bike rack that has been doing nothing but collecting dust and cobwebs down to the recycling center.

I remembered to check the amperage draw on the mini fridge while in MAX mode, .8 amps on 120V. So, 8 amps on 12 volts. I'll have to check the fuse on the power block to make sure it can handle the load, plus the odd small electronic device or two plugged in at the same time. I planned on running 10 gauge wire back to the bed on the 2011. So less of a concern but why do more work than needed if the existing system in the 2019 will work? I'm pretty sure the wire on the 2019 is 12 gauge. I'll need to double check. If that is so, there should be a 20 amp fuse in the power wire running back.

I worked on putting together stencils for the equipment boxes as well (I just wasn't motivated to do any metal fabrication for the remaining two equipment boxes. I had enough work ahead of me in the yard).

Once the sun got down into the tree line to the west, I started on the yard. The edging was long over due. So did that first. The same with the weeds growing out of the cracks in the sidewalks. A power edger would have been nice but I don't have one. The cracks in the walk were going to me manual work regardless. I have this neat hook shaped, serrated blade tool for that very purpose. That took a lot of time since I let it go so long. Then I was able to run the string trimmer and the law mower. With the gas powered leaf blower to finish the clean up. There is a section of walk that I've been neglecting that is in serious need of repair. I guess I'm going to have to take care of it this year. It's becoming a pretty bad tripping hazard.

Oh, I forgot. The UCO Flat Pack grill & fire pit came in today. I got the large model. It's a neat setup and come with a grate for charcoal (though I'll probably never use it). It was heavier than expected. Not necessarily a bad thing, just surprising.

Got home tonight and decided I needed to mow the pond berm since it's dry now so I can take the tractor tiller to the top and drop it down and smooth it out more, bit steep for the tractor but that's why there's a locker pedal and when you go straight up and down... Once the pond was done did a couple perimeter laps and found out there's 1-2 gophers still! Bastages! I'll have to take a walk with the shotgun in the morning...

annoyingly the tractor tire I just fixed was a little low but I haven't used it in a month so that's acceptable...

$5,600 for fixing the 2013 F-150 AC system (total replacement) why me lord, why me. Told them to just replacement what is leaking, the underdash evap coil. Got it down to only $2500. $760 for the FoMoCo coil, $1700 labor to tear the dash out. Delivered with the system vacuumed out. I'll fill it for 9 bucks a pound instead of $60/lb thanks. Better than a new truck payment I guess.

Weather is nice, so time to get er done and complete the gauges, and install that back up camera in the Atoto S7 which worked great during the last off road excursion with satellite navigation using Alltrails with no cell towers available.

I posted a link to what looks like a nice 2001 4x4 Ranger stepside here in Texas that "needs a new motor" in the "spotters" section. For ONLY $700 smackers! Looks unmolested to boot. Found it in the faceplant marketplace.

I did mostly after camp stuff. Cleaning and drying gear with some repacking.

Modified the tinder boxes a bit since the middle foot was interfering with the latches when they are stacked.

Tested out a 30 quart 12v refrigerator I bought to make sure it works and to test the amperage draw since I'll need to run wire for a power block in the bed of the 2011. The 2019 already has one back there. The draw was surprisingly low. Only .6 amps on Eco mode but that was on 120 volts. If I figured things right, that should be 6 amps at 12 volts. I do need to test it on MAX yet but I didn't think of it until it was already cooled down.

I also tested the dual fuel stove for proper operation. The main camping equipment boxes do not have enough room in them for the dual fuel. A slimmer, propane stove lives in them.

I also finally broke down and cleaned the brass letter and number stencils that I've been putting off for quite some time. A quart of acetone and whole bunch of nitrile gloves they are clean again.

If you need some electrical wiring done, I can see about fitting you in somewhere.

I also now have a test meter that will read amps, both AC and DC up to 400a, so I can test draw now on higher amp stuff.

The inner drum doesn't want to come out. Supposed to remove a screw, lift the impeller out, then simply "lift the drum out". Yeah. It moves about 1/2". Must be rust on the shaft down below the top mating surface. It's worth putting some time on this. Parts and tools were only $50. That's much better than a new machine.

Got it finished. I had to drive the shaft as far as I could in the "right" direction. Then cut it off below the shoulder. Then drive it out in the wrong direction.

Just took it for a test spin. Nice and quiet again.
